Some stuff I made a while back..

I saw this excellent Star Wars hat by Sarah over on the Blue Garter blog (hat tip to Kirsty) and it reminded me of some hats I knitted for my kids before we started this blog, so here's some pictures :D

This is a Star Wars hat I made for my son with these charts:

This is a Cheshire Cat version of the Kittyville hat:

This is a baby version of Knittys Tychus, I actually made my partner a matching one at the time, its very easy to knit and looks great .

This is just a plain grey hat in an unidentifiable chunky yarn with super long ties and big tassles:

And a plain ribbed hat in gorgeous soft baby blue RYC Cashsoft.

I love making childrens hats because they take so little time, and are good for trying out a new technique, or a colour mix, or a cute chart that you *have* to use but know you wont find another opportunity for.

How could I not comment on this?? I absolutely love those hats- the Star Wars beauty, the adorably tychus, the cutarama knittyville and tassled one- even the plain blue ribbed one is unbearably cute with the addition of baby cheeks.
Hmmm, I'm not sure "we need to have a baby so I can knit hats for it" is going to wash with my partner though...
